Customers at Café Blue enjoyed a Christmas concert and festive afternoon tea this week (4th December), with performances by NAViGO Health and Social Care staff and service users. The concert helped to raise £440 for NAViGO's charity the Gardiner Hill Foundation.

The funds raised will go towards supporting people with mental ill health in therapeutic activities, living independently and support with education.

Throughout the past year, the Gardiner Hill Foundation has supported people with mental ill health in returning to their own accommodation, it has provided people with education aids and funding for training - helping to lead to employment opportunities and has funded ways to help improve people’s sense of wellbeing with holistic therapies, walking trips and medical aids.

Jane Lewington, Chief Executive of NAViGO and member of the Harrison House choir said, “I’m proud to be part of an organisation where staff, service users and volunteers come together, giving up their own time to be involved in something as positive as this.

“Not only is it an enjoyable and therapeutic group activity, but it’s also a great way for NAViGO to engage with the general public and raise money for the Gardiner Hill Foundation, which has had great impact on many of our service users’ lives.”
