Exciting developments coming to Grimsby
What's next for Grimsby Garden Centre?
We’ve recently completed the renovation of our brand-new eatery, The Potting Shed.
Building on many years of success, we doubled the seating capacity and kitchen size of the much-loved Café Blue and gave it a more modern, bright and welcoming feel to reflect the direction we want to go in as a garden centre.
And… a new name and branding.
As exciting as these changes are, we knew there were some things that were too popular to mix up, like our classic fish and chips and carvery. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?
Exciting stuff, but we don’t plan to stop there!
Innovative plans which allow us to further improve have been approved by council planners.
The plans include:
- Repurposing shipping containers to create a unique, independent
retail feature entrance hub for small local businesses, allow us to support and promote even more exciting local independent businesses - A new timber built green barn – a low-carbon facility providing
flexible use space for activities, children’s play and events – with
wool insulation, composting toilets and rainwater harvesting - Doubling the size of the car park and relocating it to the side of the
centre to ease congestion at the entrance, while repairs and expansion of the current access road will benefit visitors, staff and local residents.
These plans further demonstrate our environmental commitment by minimising waste, using sustainable energy and making use of recycled materials.
Not only that, but they show our commitment to the local community, creating a space for local creatives and independent businesses, as well as introducing a first-of-its-kind shopping experience to the area.
