The Garden Centre

Much more than just a garden centre!

Grimsby Garden Centre is part of NAViGO – a not-for-profit social enterprise providing mental health care to the people of North East Lincolnshire. Profits are reinvested back into local mental health services and we have provided over 80 skills, training and employment opportunities to people with mental health problems.

Not only that, but we have wide range of great value plants and garden products – and a team of experts on-hand to advise everyone, from beginners to avid lifelong gardeners.

We offer a wide variety of products to make your garden great. From BBQs to benches. From trees to tools. From sheds to summerhouses.

We have something to suit everyone’s budget. And we offer discounts to Blue Light Card holders (NHS, Armed Forces, Emergency Service workers), over 65s and NAViGO community members.

And while you’re here, why not pop into the much-loved Café Blue – our onsite licenced café – famous for its proper Grimsby fish and chips and popular carvery feasts.

Café Blue teaches kitchen and hospitality skills to budding chefs and keen caterers – many of whom have mental health problems or are from disadvantaged backgrounds – with the aim of supporting them into employment.

Grimsby Garden Centre is also home to Jalousie, Maidenhead Aquatics, and Edinburgh Woollen Mill.

history

Grimsby Garden Centre, previously known as Alfords Garden Centre was bought by NAViGO in October 2015, and has been brought up to date by its new owners, and is continuing to change and expand.
