Grimsby Garden Centre was purchased by NAViGO, North East Lincolnshire’s leading mental health service provider in 2015. The aim was to provide training and employment opportunities as well as therapeutic horticulture activities for local people with mental health problems. At the moment, we support an average of 19 service users with horticulture therapy per week.
As a not-for-profit, income that is generated by sales at the garden centre is reinvested back into NAViGO for the benefit of the local mental health services or to further develop and improve the garden centre for the benefit of the community.
When you shop with us, you help us to give back to the local community.
People using wheelchairs should be able to move freely throughout the majority of the garden centre and the Potting Shed – there is a however, a raised seating area in the Potting Shed that is not wheelchair friendly.
When planning our displays we test that wheelchairs are able to easily navigate around the display stands – if you find that this is not the case, or if you have any feedback with regards to accessibility, please let us know.
We also have wheelchairs available at the entrance of the garden centre for customer use should you need it.
You can shop Rathwood furniture online here – the orders are processed and fulfilled by Rathwood.
When you purchase any Rathwood products from us at Grimsby Garden Centre – either in store at the garden centre or online – the commission we receive as a Rathwood partner is reinvested by us for the benefit of our local community.
