Here at Grimsby Garden Centre, we know more than most the positive benefits of gardening on both mental and physical health.
The centre is owned by NAViGO – provider of NHS mental health services across North East Lincolnshire.
Not only that, but we love being part of the local community, and we want to encourage families and young people to become the next generation of gardeners.
Which is why we developed the Grow With Us gardening project, sending free seeds and green-fingered activities to all primary schools across North East Lincolnshire.
We believe green-fingered activity is important for physical and mental health and wellbeing.
We think young people should have the opportunity to experience nature and have the chance to grow vegetables, fruit and flowers.
We think people should be encouraged to use spaces be they small or large for nature – we might be orange but we’re green. Gardening is for everyone, whether you’re a green-fingered expert or a newbie…if you’re 8 or 80. We want you to get involved!
