Enjoy the magic of Santa's Grotto with the whole of the family, and get an exclusive peek of Santa's enchanting toy shop.

Join the group in the grotto to have a chat with Santa. He’ll check his naughty and nice list (grown-ups, please be sure to complete the form when booking to keep Santa in the know) and speak to each child individually.

Children will be able to explore Santa’s very own toy shop and choose their own early Christmas gift to take home!

And don’t miss the chance to capture the magical moment with Santa himself! Families will have the opportunity to take a photo with Santa in the grotto before choosing their toy in the toy shop.

Santa’s Grotto is open for booking every Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 3pm in the run-up to Christmas from Saturday 30 November.

Be sure to double-check you have selected the time and date you wish to visit Santa’s Grotto before booking. We cannot guarantee that changes can be made once booking is complete.

You’ll even get the chance to take a magical virtual journey through Lapland on Santa’s sleigh with our 4D VR ride. Be sure to add the sleigh ride to your booking.

We reserve the right to make changes to the event without prior notice. In the event of cancellation, a full refund will be issued. Cancellation requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately, cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the event cannot be refunded. Any changes to your original booking made at a later date cannot be guaranteed.

Who needs to buy a ticket?

Under 13s or anyone wishing to be part of the grotto group and receive a gift from Santa will need to book. Accompanying adults do not need to book.

Will there be photographs available to buy?

There will be the opportunity for each family in the group to take their own photos with Santa. There will not be a professional photographer or pictures available to buy. Please be mindful of other children when they are sitting in the group – parents may not want their child to be photographed.

How will it be personalised?

When you book, please be sure to give us the name and age of the children that you are booking for. Santa will check his nice list and know the names of each child attending if you have given it.

What will the gift be?

After visiting Santa in the grotto, children will receive a token to exchange at Santa’s magical toy shop to choose their own gift. Gifts will be suitable for boys and girls and a range of ages.

How many children will be in each group?

Up to 16 children may be attending each sitting. We are taking bookings of up to 12 children online, allowing up to four additional children to join the group if they arrive at the garden centre and have not booked in advance. Up to ten children may be attending the dedicated SEND sessions at 2:30pm on Sundays to make for a quieter experience.

How long is each sitting?

Each sitting is 25 minutes long, so plenty of time for family photos and for children to get to chat to Santa.

What is the VR ride?

Seating up to eight people, our virtual reality sleigh ride is fun for the whole family and the perfect way to top off your grotto experience! Housed in Santa’s sleigh lodge, you’ll be transported into Santa’s magical world using our HD VR headsets. Tilting forwards, backwards and side to side, the sleigh’s movements have been specially designed to mirror those of the full 360-degree experience, creating a truly festive feast for the eyes! The VR headset is not recommended for children under 24 months.
You can choose to add the VR ride to your booking for an additional £4 per child when booking online or £5 when purchased in the garden centre.

When should I arrive at the grotto?

You’re booked in for a set time so there’s no need to worry about queuing, but please be sure to arrive at least a few minutes before the start time of your booking to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the experience!
